Say What?

My brother's Grandon Fan Club blog introduced me to this cool app called Wordle that generates a word cloud based on the most common words used in writing.

I submitted all the text from my 2010 posts and this is what it spat back out. The larger the word appears, the more commonly it appears in your writing.

Apparently I'm fixated on the words: house (no surprise there), family, time, and back. So I guess this would be my ultimate blog sentence:

"House, give me my family time back."

It's a Zoo

Since the day after Halloween last year Beau told us that he wanted to be an eagle this year. We tried, but could never sway him from it. It turned out to be a great costume for him since his elementary school has an eagle for a mascot. Cash wanted to be a crocodile and Pierce a giraffe. Between trick or treating at my work, the Lehi Legacy Center party with family, the Ward Trunk or Treat, and Beau’s efforts with his buddy – my candy selection is stocked.

A couple of months ago we decided that the backyard would need to be reworked. I should have realized this at the time (but of course I didn’t) that this would set into motion a slew of other projects. Revamping the backyard sprinklers took me quite a bit of time so without anything in the back to do, Marta moved on to the front yard and pretty much replaced/moved everything. This led to a plan to revamp the look of the house all together and I was presented with a new house color scheme. I thought that would be a great thing to do next spring, but patience is not really found in our tool belt. I built some shutters and we’ve now (except for some really tall parts) painted the house white - I use we liberally, actually Marta painted 90% of the house. We live in a neighborhood of unique homes and now we feel like we have a house that is also unique. It took some time for me, but the new look has definitely grown on me.
