The Easter Lamb

The Easter lamb cake was one of the most consistent family traditions of my youth. Mom might forget the day of my birth, but we'd always have the lamb cake. This year we got our own lamb mold so we can continue the tradition. My father and mother in-law also prepared and walked us through a Seder dinner. I didn't realize how many of our Easter traditions originated with the Passover.

Beau - sporting a goose egg he got from his brother's wooden light saber - took the head of the lamb as his trophy despite his current status as "not a cake fan".

What Are We Going To Do This Summer?

In a quest to find an answer to the daunting question of "What do we do with these people when they are out of school?" we re-upped at the zoo. I hadn't been for a while and it seemed to me a little nicer than it used to be. That's not really saying too much though.

I'm Still Getting Older

Seems like we always have the boys in their PJs for my birthday photo. I guess they miss out on the real party.
