Playing at the Zoo

I think the best part of the Salt Lake zoo may be the kids playground. There are some caves with bats and some other animals to see, but there are also a lot of things to climb on, bounce off, and hang from. It's nice for a change to have them climb, bounce, and jump off things that are outside and that we don't own.

The Halloween Circus

9am church is often a challenge. Usually whoever we sit by was there long before we arrive enjoying the peace and quiet. Then we come, and an hour later we apologize for bringing the circus to them. No apologies for our circus on this day! This year we had an elephant (which might look familiar), a lion, and - by special request - a blue fire-breathing dragon with green wings (kind of similar to last year's green dinosaur request). After the traditional trick or treating at my work on Friday, we went down to Great Grandma's and then Granny's for the Saturday event. Everyone had a great time, and there is something about getting candy that motivates these boys to get the hang of it pretty quickly.
